Saturday, July 24th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Sue’s parents were very wealthy. They attended no church. A friend of Sue's invited her to a church service. She accepted the Lord. After she told her parents of her salvation, they told her if she attended this church again, she would have to leave home. Being only 16 years old, Sue was faced with a hard decision. She went to church again. As a result, her parents asked her to leave home. She packed several bags in preparation of leaving. Suddenly, her parents called her back, saying, “If you love God this much, we want to know Him too.” (Croft M. Pentz)

Is our love for God worth leaving all this world has to offer? If it is we have gained eternal riches. If not, we have sold out too cheaply. We must remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:25-26:

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
