Yahweh

Our Desperate Appeal

"Cover their faces with shame so that they will seek Your name, Lord. Let them be put to shame and terrified forever; let them perish in disgrace. May they know that You alone- whose name is Yahweh- are the Most High over all the earth.
Psalm 83:16-18 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

The Psalmist's appeal? Even though the Hebrews are the ones being persecuted... the appeal to God is on behalf of Yahweh... and his reputation/Name in the world.

This is the focus of the intercessor/warrior that God is looking for today as well... appealing to Yahweh... on behalf of His Name.

May we learn this.
