Charlie Simpson, 7, has raised more than $160,000 for UNICEF’s Haiti relief effort with a five-mile bike ride around a west London park, far more than his goal of about $800.

It is always a blessing to hear good news like this. Such stories remind me of the little boy in the parable of the five loaves and two fishes (Matthew 14), when Jesus took what the child had, multiplied it to what was needed for the occasion, and fed the hundreds. Little is much when we are willing to share.

God, let this young man inspire others to reach out also.  Amen.
