Daily Nugget

   Tuesday, August, 20th, 2014.  Today's cherished nugget from Guest Blogger, Pastor Bill.

A man had just had his annual physical exam and was waiting for the doctor’s initial report. After a few minutes, the doctor came in with his charts in his hand and said, “There’s no reason why you can’t live a completely normal life as long as you don’t try to enjoy it.”

That is contrary to the words of Jesus in John 10:10 when He says, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.”

On the other hand, does a relationship with Jesus make us abnormal after all, for the writer of 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us that we are “a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

God, thank You for making me different through a relationship with You. Amen.
