Daily Nugget

   Sunday, August, 17th, 2014.  Today's cherished nugget from Guest Blogger, Pastor Bill.

It was Napoleon Bonaparte who, early in his life, said, “God is on the side of the biggest artillery.” Years later, when he was exiled on an island, he reversed his opinion, and conceded, “Man proposes, but God disposes.” Napoleon learned the attitude of “If it is the Lord’s will” the hard way. May we learn it now.

Jesus taught us by example how to follow God’s will. First, we must pray, then obey. Jesus set the example for us in His prayer in Matthew 26:42: “My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.”

God, let my will be in line with Yours.  Amen.
