Daily Nugget

    Sunday, April 14th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

We need to treasure our uniqueness, even those aspects of uniqueness that don’t always fit in. I saw this illustrated in a cartoon that showed the foreman of a jury at the door of the jury room giving the lunch order to the bailiff. You know the jury is in for a long time when you hear the order: “Eleven cheeseburgers and one hot dog. Eleven coffees and one hot chocolate. Eleven fruit pies and one prune Danish.”

God has created and gifted each of us differently that we might uniquely worship Him. Each of us has a different tune just as each instrument in the orchestra has its own special sound.  Let us Praise God as the writer of Psalm 96:1-3 says, “Sing a new song to the LORD; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.  Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples. Praise Him as only you were created to praise Him.

God, thank You for making us as we are to praise You. Amen.
