Daily Nugget

     Tuesday, April 9th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks” (Phillips Brooks).

I often say, “No one draws a bye.” What that means is that almost everyday we each have opportunities disguised as trials or challenges.   David gives this word of encouragement to his son Solomon in 2 Chronicles 28:20, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.”

God, thank You for being with us whatever the challenge. Amen.
