“When the soul has laid down its faults at the feet of God, it feels as though it had wings” (Eugenie de Guerin).

It doesn’t bring God joy to have to punish His children, but He desires to have us in a right relationship with Him. Jesus reminds us in John 3:17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

God, thank You for Your love and forgiveness that lifts us back into Your presence. Amen
