Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us”  (Helen Keller).

Sometimes we think a thing or things will make us happy. Many of us look for the elusive happiness the whole world over. God is ever-present to be our friend, and many miss Him because we are looking elsewhere. The writer of Psalms 146:5-6 tells us: “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:  Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth forever.”

God, thank You for the happiness we find in You. Amen
