Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

A young lady was soaking up the sun’s rays on a Florida beach when a little boy in his swimming trunks, carrying a towel, came up to her and asked, “Do you believe in God?” She was surprised by the question but replied, “Why, yes, I do.” Then he asked her, “Do you go to church every Sunday?” Again, her answer was “Yes!” Then he asked, “Do you read your Bible and pray every day?” Again she said, “Yes!” But by now her curiosity was very much aroused. At last the lad sighed and said, with obvious relief, “Will you hold my quarter while I go in swimming?”

What about you? Can you be trusted with such scrutiny? Are you up for such a task as this?  To find such a person, Jesus would say in Matthew 25:23, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.”      

                                                                          

God, let us be that dependable to You. Amen.
