Man inherently thinks he owes God something and tries to "do" for God.  The truth is, Jesus paid it all on Calvary! The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

God, I join the Psalmist in asking You to “Create a clean heart in me.” Amen.
