Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

A  seven-year-old boy, Christian, was beginning to get into the church's Bible study program and was working on his memory work at home. His dad, curious about his son's interest in the whole procedure, asked Christian, “Well, what do you get if you learn these verses? What’s the prize or reward?” Christian eyed him with that simple childlike look and said, “We get to learn more!”

The closer we get to God the closer we desire to get to Him. And…the beauty of it all is He desires that closer walk with us. The writer of James 4:8 reminds us:  “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” What a deal, for when we draw near to God, we can learn more of Him,  and the more we learn, the more we want to learn

God, thank You for desiring that closeness with us. Amen.
