The talents we have are given to us by God so we are to use them for His glory and for the purpose for which we were created. For us not to use those gifts for His glory is a shame on us.  The writer of Psalm 9:1 tells us how to praise God:

“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.”

"God, thank You for the abilities with which You have blessed us. 
Amen."
