Washington is full of peace monuments. We build one after every war. --- Unknown

As long as sin and man’s imperfections are here, we will never have true peace here on earth. As surprised as some folks are at the wars that are going on, we might be astonished if we knew of all the hotspots and potential wars in the wings--just waiting to escalate to the level where all will be aware of the threat.

The apostle Paul reminds us that while we are in the world, our peace is controlled by "The One" who is greater than this entire world. For example, in Philippians 4:7, Paul says,

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

"God, thank You that You are dependable in a world that has so much confusion.
Amen."
