"God give us men.
The time demands
Strong minds, great hearts,
True faith and willing hands;
Men whom the lust of office does not kill;
Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy;
Men who possess opinions and a will;
Men who have honor; men who will not lie;
Men who can stand before a demagogue
And damn his treacherous flatteries without winking;
Tall men, sun-crowned men,
who live above the fog In public duty and in private thinking."

Our days cry out for such men and women today. Remember to pray for the leaders in control, for their families, and for God to raise up men and women who will stand for righteousness. Remember the words of the apostle Paul in Romans 8:26-28:

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

"God, give us leaders of wisdom and integrity to bring us back to You.
