Tuesday, April 6th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
An Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him with the words: “And this, too, shall pass away.” How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!
(Abraham Lincoln, 1809–1865)
While we can find a certain amount of comfort in those words, I find much more consolation in the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:20:
“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”How terrific to know God Himself is with us, enjoying the good times and still walking with us in the trying times.
"God, Thank You for Your presence always!
Amen."
