Hey, this is the Chaplain again.
It’s Friday – but Sunday’s coming! What a difference a couple of days can make.
That Friday was the darkest day in human history. Luke 23:33
“When the soldiers came to the place called "The Skull,” they nailed Jesus to a cross.”It was almost as though the world stopped turning. How could this happen? Where was justice? Where were the angels? Where was God? Why? Why? Why? . . .
And then the waiting; and the wondering. Is this really all there is? How could we have been so wrong? But wait, didn’t he tell us about this? Could it be that this is part of his plan? But how could it be? . . .
But then it was Sunday, the brightest day in human history. Luke 24:5-6 the angel said,
“Why are you looking in the place of the dead for someone who is alive? Jesus isn't here! He has been raised from death.”But even with the angelic announcement it was hard to believe. Alive? Really alive? It took a few days, and a few visits, for the reality to set in. But once it did there was no stopping them. . .
Now the question is not, did Jesus rise from the dead? That is a historical fact. The question is; is he alive in you? 1 John 3:24 says,
“Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”Can I ask you a question? Do you know, really know that He lives in you?
