Yahweh Covenant Loyalty


A very simple point about this revealing of our "Covenant Loyal" God.

Here we have another simple point from this revealing... and today it is about our "Loyal" God... Of special interest is the fact that as one studies the meaning of "Loyalty" itself one discovers a bright point for personal reflection.

What we find is that "Loyalty" is actually a function that is based on a desire for one's own benefit...it is for one's own good to be loyal to another.

Deuteronomy 7:9
"Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands."

Yahweh demonstrates covenant loyalty because Yahweh is loyal to His own nature and character first and foremost.

There is no doubt that we are beneficiaries of His loyalty... but never forget that Yahweh's loyalty is first and foremost for His own benefit.

If you will... the requirement that we have no other gods before us... applies to Yahweh as well.
