Tuesday, March 16th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
“Each man’s memory is his private literature”
(Aldous Huxley, 1894–1963)
As a young boy, I remember a teacher challenged us to memorize Scripture by saying, “The only Scripture you really own is what you commit to memory. No one can take that from you.”
I now understand part of what he wanted me/us to do was to follow the advice of the psalmist:
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
(Psalms 119: 11)
"God, thank You for teachers who prepare us for the future.
Amen."
God is ever present!
