The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

Today I want to give my Christian brothers and sisters 4 important words that start with the letter “P”; are you paying attention? Priority, Partner, Possible and Process. Let me repeat them again, Priority, Partner, Possible and Process.

OK, now here’s the verse that they come from, “…So work with fear and trembling to discover what it really means to be saved. God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him.” (Philippians 2:12-13 CEV)

First word, Priority - have you made living for the Lord a priority in your life? Is it really important to you, or do you have other things that push Jesus to the back?

The second word is Partner. You know you cannot do it on your own – and you cannot do it your own way. He has to be your partner, your senior Partner.

Third word, Possible. Yes it is possible to live a life that is pleasing to God, the Bible says so. But, it will have to be a Priority, and you’ll have to let Him be the senior Partner. But it is possible.

And lastly, always remember that it is a Process. Sometimes we forget that, and we get discouraged when we fall down. Learning to walk with the Lord is a lifelong Process. Listen, turning you into a godly person will not happen overnight, but it can happen!

So remember: Priority, Partner, Possible and Process.
