Friday, August 14th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

The teacher asked the pupils to tell the meaning of loving-kindness. A little boy jumped up and said, “Well, if I was hungry and someone gave me a piece of bread that would be kindness. But if they put a little jam on it, that would be loving-kindness.”
(Sparks)

Art Linkletter said, “Kids say the darndedst things.”

That they do. They will say more in a few words that can make us think harder than we want to. The Apostle Peter gives us this advice:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”
(1Peter 1:5-7)
May we not only be kind, but wrap some loving-kindness to it.

"God, Let me be the jam on someone’s bread today.
Amen."
