Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon of South Korea is getting secret information from moon beams dancing in his head.

If the UN and world scientists were actually doing their jobs on this they would be warning the world to start storing up grain for the coming years. The reality is that we are going to have millions of people starve to death due to the global cooling cycle that we are setting into. The slumbering sun is causing colder climate temperatures coming, that is going to shorten the worlds growing season, crop failures, and the result is going to be famine... but not to heat.

And the lairs and misinformation artists who are trying to make big bucks off their promotion of "green industries" are going to be able to pat themselves on the back as they watch the poor once again famish at their hands.

This is the power that they love.

UN news center

...If we fail to act, climate change will intensify droughts, floods and other natural disasters.

Water shortages will affect hundreds of millions of people. Malnutrition will engulf large parts of the developing world. Tensions will worsen. Social unrest – even violence – could follow.

The damage to national economies will be enormous. The human suffering will be incalculable.

We have the power to change course. But we must do it now....

We have just four months. Four months to secure the future of our planet....

Four months?!? FOUR MONTHS?!? OH CRAP! I better get busy and recycle something...or something!

I continue to be amazed at the Chicken Little-esque headline attending "Climate Change" (BTW don't you looove the greenies adaptability....Global Warming becomes Man MADE Global Warming becomes...Climate Change!) The sad part is that so very many of the governments in the world have read, absorbed and been HEE-ALL_ED! by the Gospel of Gore.

I had to do a presentation for a class on....um Effective Presentations...last year, and since I am a card-carrying member of the eco-terrorist cell know as the local Electric Power Plant worker, mine was on how electricity is made. As part of the presentation I dealt with the ridiculousness of the environmentalists (I call them knot-hole rapists...those who have gone beyond mere hugging of trees to....well, you know!). One of my favorite tales is how the knot-holers are all for "renewable" energy....yet sued the operators of the Altamonte Pass wind generation site because the "eco-friendly" windmills posed a hazard to wildlife!?! Seems the bird flying through the pass are not bright enough to detour around the GIGUNDOUS windmills...and in a match of bird vs. wind turbine blade....guess who wins?
As with most of these "progressive" initiatives, it's not so much about whatever squishy-sounding goodness that it's proponents SAY.....it's about power. And usually MONEY..lots and lots of money!!

Hey Shifty1... in case you haven't seen it you've got to go over to the Borg Conspiracy and watch the video on the right that says that "Obama promised to Kill Coal."

http://primeswormhole.blogspot.com/2009/08/big-brother-is-here.html

The video is like the third item down the right side of the blog.

Remember Obama saying during the election that we needed to develop "clean coal?" And this video demonstrates that all the while he's saying that he's thinking, "Yea you fools, go ahead and develop clean coal and then we are going to clean your plow and take the cash!"

And the media can't figure out why a bunch of Americans don't "trust" this guy? Dumb media.

Thanks for taking the time!

God Bless,

chuck

Chuck,

I saw him telling some group or other that "they can go ahead and build a coal power plant, it'll just bankrupt them" during the primaries last year. In the same speech he said that his energy policies would "Neccessarily cause prices to skyrocket". Last summer and fall I was busy spreading his own words far and wide, seeing as it DIRECTLY affects me and those closest to me.

I'm sure you can guess which candidate the Union representing the workers for the utility I work for endorsed.....

Sheeple.....a more apt description has never been penned.

I was searching my menmory (well my computer's memory) for the article I read yesterday about how not nearly enough of the "Spendulous" cash has been marked to update the power grid, beyond the "smartening" of it. It made a couple of awesome points. First, installing all the high-tech gadgetry in the world will amount to a fart in the wind if we don't build more Transmission and Distribution capacity...MORE WIRES!! But that's not sexy, and may be ecologically hurtful! So no money for that. The problem is we are running on a system designed at something like 1950's standards (and in some instances using harware that is older than that)for 21st century demand. You can build all the green, blue, purple or pink energy sources you
want, but if we don't build more wires to carry the electricity from the source to the user...

And specifically addressing the wind component of "renewable" energy, the article described the special needs associated with integrating wind into the grid, given the wide fluctuations in the level of power developed. One of our current power plants puts out stable dependable levels of voltage at the proper frequency (which is muay importante unless you want all of your electric items to burn up). Wind turbines, by definition vary widely in the amount of power produced. Unless the wind is steady, the turbine will speed up (producing more power) and slow down (less power) with the breeze. Not so great for creating stability on the grid. But hey..let's rush to mandate renewables into every utilities generation portfolio! We only have FOUR MONTHS people!

BTW, here's yet another consequence of "green" power wind turbines!

Enjoy the sweet sweet irony!

Hey Shifty1... I had to make a post from your comments... to good to let lie just here!

I went to the American Thinker link. Hadn't thought of the grid issue. Had heard some about the smashing birds problem... but you know... if the greenies used a little ingenuity they could have folks on station to collect the falling bodies and harvest the meet... or is meat what we call fouls... tissue?

Thanks again and God Bless!
