Thursday, August 14th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
“When a man says he approves of something in principle, it means he hasn't the slightest intention of putting it into practice.”
(Otto von Bismarck, German Prussian politician, 1815 - 1898)
How sad but true as we see many that think Christianity is a good thing for others, but they have no intention of following Christ in their own lives. Take into account this conversation between the apostle Paul and King Agrippa:
“Then Agrippa said unto Paul, 'Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.' And Paul said, 'I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds'."
(Acts 26:28-29)
I trust that today we will be persuaded not only to walk in principal but also in practice with Christ.
"God, let me walk in such a way that others might follow.
Amen."
Follow God and His plan for your life.
