Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.

It was said of Sir Bartle Frere that he was always helping someone. Lady Frere was going to a railway station to meet her husband with a servant who had never seen him before.
“Madam, how shall I know him?” asked the man.
“Look for a tall gentleman helping someone,” replied Lady Frere, and sure enough, the description was sufficient, for Sir Bartle was discovered helping an old lady out of a railway carriage.
What if someone were to describe you? What attribute would they use to help someone find you? One good attribute is made by Jesus in Luke 6:44-45: “For every tree is knownby it's own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and anevil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh"”
God, thank You for Your example we are to follow. Amen.
