Day 98, Yahweh: Giving Over

“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.  Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. But My people did not listen to Me; Israel did not obey Me.  So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own plans.”

Psalm 81:10-12 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Are we aware that God will give us over to the very things that could destroy/harm us?  For the child of God, the working reality is ... the decision is ours ... God tries ... we resist ... and presto ... God says in effect, "OK, if that's what you want then go for it big boy ... get a belly full!"

The child of God will return.

Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Your ways are righteous and true.  Our ways are twisted and senseless. Teach us Your ways … for Your Name’s sake.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
