Daily Nugget

   Wednesday, May 21st, 2014, Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"God will take nine steps toward us, but He will not take the tenth. He will incline us to repent, but He cannot do our repenting for us" (A. W. Tozer, 1897–1963).

When we find ourselves away from God, we look around and realize God has not moved, but we are the ones who have wandered from His presence. Just as quickly, He meets us when we return even the slightest bit toward Him. Jesus, in Luke 15:20, shares the picture of His Father in the story of the prodigal's return: “When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

Turn to God, for He is running to you.

God, thank You for meeting us more than halfway.   Amen.
