Daily Nugget
Tuesday, May 20th, 2014, Today's cherished Nugget from
guest blogger Pastor Bill.
The Roman scholar Cato started to study Greek when he was
over eighty. Someone asked why he tackled such a difficult task at his age.
Cato said, “It’s the earliest age I have left.”
If we have not achieved our goals, or even started, now
is the time. As Cato said, this age is the earliest time we have left. Every
day is a gift and we are stewards of that gift. The fact that God has given us
another day, week, or year (this is my youngest daughter’s birthday) means He
still has a purpose and plan for us. We must live life to the fullest, and use
every opportunity to learn something new so to increase in our value to Him.
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will
rejoice and be glad in it” ( Psalm 118:24).
God, direct my paths, open my eyes to see the
opportunities around me, and grant me the wisdom to follow You wherever You
lead. Amen.
