An old song states, “If just a cup of water I (God) place upon your hand; then just a cup of water is all that I (God) demand.”

We can never do with what we don’t have, but we are responsible to be stewards of what has been entrusted to us. Jesus tells the faithful servant, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21).

 May we do well with what we have.

God, help us daily to find ways to be the servant You want us to be with the resources You have blessed us with. Amen.
