Sign on the desk of an airline executive in Chicago: “Don’t bother to agree with me,
I’ve already changed my mind.”

The truth of this statement is that we live in a fickle world that has trouble with absolutes.
Aren’t you glad God, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, is the same
yesterday, today, and forever?

The writer of the book of the Revelation has written, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (1:8).

God, thank You for Your faithfulness and mercy that lasts forever. Amen.
