Daily Nugget

     Thursday, February 28th, 2013. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“The best manner of avenging ourselves is by not resembling him who has injured us” (Jane Porter).

The natural man’s reaction is to retaliate when someone wrongs us. The hardest thing is to let God handle our battles and in the process see growth in our own life. Jesus challenges us to handle adversity in this manner in Matthew 5:38-39, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  turn to him the other cheek also.”

God, help us to stand the test looking like You and not like the world.  Amen.
