“Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.” (Ovid 43 b.c.–a.d. 17)

We hurry to have fun or to get things done at the expense of the rest God designed. God gave us this command in Exodus 20:8, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” God created the day of rest that our other six might be more productive.

God, Thank You for our rest. Let our thoughts today be focused on You. Amen.
