Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

Life is short and, in fact, our next breath is not guaranteed. Wouldn’t it be nice to step into eternity with a clear conscience? Or conversely, what if we were to meet the Master of all creation with a lie falling from our lips? The writer of Psalms 31:18 says, “Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.” I can see this as a useful prayer, especially in this day and age.

God, let us keep this prayer close especially during the political season. Amen.
