Daily Nugget

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

“A commentary of the times is that the word honesty is now preceded by old-fashioned.” ( Larry Wolters)

What a shame that honesty has gone the way of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker. Though it may not be extinct, it surely is rare and so is the trait of honesty. My prayer is that we seek Godly men and women to lead our country--men and women who are honest and trustworthy regardless of the direction the current poll of the week tries to turn them.

The writer of James 5:12 tells us, “But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.”

God, give us leaders who stand for truth and righteousness.  Amen.
