“You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.”  (Unknown)

Paying taxes is one example of our giving without necessarily loving the recipient; however, loving others--and that includes God--is verified by our giving. The verification is not only financial but also consists of our time, energies, and emotions...yea literally the giving of ourselves. One of the most familiar verses, John 3:16, reminds us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God, thank You for the example You set for us. Amen.
