Daily Nugget

    Saturday, May 12th, 2012.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“ ‘Whatsoever’ is not necessarily active work. It may be waiting (whether half an hour or half a lifetime), learning, suffering, sitting still. But shall we be less ready for these if any of them are His appointments for today?”  (Frances Ridley Havergal 1836–1879).

We seldom think of our delays or detours as important, but what if that downtime was our opportunity to spend a moment with God? What if it could have been a test He had planned for us? The wise writer of Ecclesiastes 8:10 reminds us: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”
God, thank You for being available for us. Help us to be sensitive to Your presence.  Amen.
