Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"Music is not made by one voice or one instrument waiting for the others to stop so either can add its contribution. The key is each blending, increasing, or decreasing so to bring variety that makes music inspirational in message, beautiful in performance, and interesting in format." (me 1955-)

As in music, worship is not just singing, preaching, playing instruments, praying, or giving testimonies. Whether in corporate or private worship, true worship is the combination of all aspects that draw us near to the presence of Holy God. Sometimes even deafening silence can be the greatest influence on worship. After all, which is more important: To hear from God or to have God hear us? The writer of Psalms 46:10-11 puts the message into perspective for us with these words:

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us.”

"God, I will praise You for who You are. You are awesome.
Amen."
