“Understanding a
person does not mean condoning; it only means that one does not accuse him as
if one were God or a judge placed above him.” (Erich Fromm)
I do not have the
time nor the desire to be one’s judge. There is one God, one judge over all,
and He is unequaled by any wisdom here on earth. The writer of Ezekiel
18:30-32 records this about Him: “Therefore I
will judge you, O house of Israel, every one
according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your
transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away
from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a
new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the
Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live
ye.”
God,
You alone are worthy to judge and receive all honor and praise.
Amen
