Daily Nugget

Friday, November 11th, 2011.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Today our country celebrates by giving thanks to our veterans for their service to our country. Many of our vets were so young they did not even know what they were fighting for; they just knew they wanted to serve our country, or were at least willing to serve when they received their "Greetings" letter from Uncle Sam.

Jesus said in John 15:13,

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
I thank God for those families whose loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice. I want to thank those of you who served our country and were willing to lay down your life for us had it been necessary.

Take time to thank a veteran today!

"God, thank You for our country and for the men and women who have served our country and for those who are serving our country. God, we ask Your protection on our soldiers and wisdom for those who make the decisions affecting our soldiers and our country.
Amen."

Bro. Bill

God is Love! Let us reflect that love.
