Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

What is our motivation for doing the right thing? It can’t be fear because we can’t be forced to be good. It can’t be the earthly rewards, because nothing on earth compares to our eternal rewards even though we can never be good enough to earn them.

One of the greatest motivators is knowing others are following, as well as friends and family both encouraging us and, at the same time, depending on our successes to keep them on track.

The apostle Paul in Hebrews 12:1-2 says,

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

"God. thank You for sending Your son Jesus to be the perfect example for us.
