The Chaplains Corner

The Chaplains Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

My wife Blossom and I went on a drive up in the hills above our city to see the fall colors; hoping the trees would be filled with yellow, gold, orange and red colored leaves. Sadly to say we were disappointed. Mostly we saw shades of brown. Someone said it was because we had such a dry and hot summer. I guess it takes a lot of moisture to bring out the full colors.

You know that’s true for our lives; we need the precious moisture of God to produce a life that is full of color and worth looking at. We must have the Living Water of the Spirit of God to bring out the fullness of life. How dry we are on the inside will greatly influence how attractive we are on the outside.

In the Gospel of John Jesus talks a lot about having that Godly Water.
“Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you."
And

“The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.”
Along with providing eternal life for us - that Water makes our lives appealing to other people. When our life is full of Jesus it is a life that attracts others. No Water, no life. Little Water, little life. Lots of Water, lots of Life. Jesus said, “I came to give life—life in all its fullness.”
