"you will think you are going absolutely crazy"

Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ... all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.



Patty speaks today about a letter from someone who had also lost a daughter ...

"There were so many tidbits 6 yrs ago. I'm sure there are many i don't recall. But the one that stands out, was a letter, from someone we don't even know. They had seen the article in the newspaper that our daughter was killed. They too had lost a daughter. His words were so calm, and soft. He said "you will think you are going absolutely crazy, just remember, that it's normal". I have held those words tightly, ever since. He was so very right!"

Father, Yahweh, I pray today for Patty, and all who have lost a child. I thank you for the community of those who have lost a child ... and their willingness and desire to stand with those who have joined their fellowship of grief ... and the wisdom that loss brings.
