"there was nothing more you could have done"
Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ... all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.
Kelly speaks today to the accusing voice of "you could have/would have/should have..."
A friend who lost a child 20 years ago told me, "For some reason, women think that they should be able to fix everything & keep everyone happy. But we can't & we aren't supposed to. Nick made his choice to end his life, & there was nothing more you could have done."
Kelly
Father, Yahweh, I pray today for Kelly, and all who have lost a child. I pray that the relentless self-accusations would lose their voices to ... truth ... as Jesus said to the raging torrents ... "Peace, be still."
