If we are not conscious that our provision comes from The Lord, we find ourselves worrying about the future in general and the economic situation in particular. It is important to remember that this world is not our home, that our provision comes from God, and that we are to be thankful for His daily ministering to our needs. The writer of James 1:16-17 gives us this reminder today:

“Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

"God, thank You for our daily bread and Your thoughtfulness toward us.
