Day 82
Yahweh
The Purpose of a Prophet
But Jehoshaphat asked, "Isn't there a prophet of Yahweh here any more? Let's ask him."Humanity... left to itself... will always choose the easiest road... the path of least resistance. Our most natural instinct is to be... comfortable.
1Kings 22:7 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
The problem with this is that we no longer live in "paradise"... nor do we live in a fairy tale realm... we live and move in the here and now... not in what should or could be.
That is quite difficult to come to grips with for many souls.
The path of least resistance will generally lead to some form of destruction or grave loss... the ultimate loss being the loss of one's self to another. This is not Yahweh's desire... so... Yahweh will raise up a spokesman that will attempt... by the power of God... to lift up our heads above our "comfort"... and it is there that we see the Glory of God... and experience... life.
"How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it. Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves."xtnyoda, shalomed
