Wednesday, May 12th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

During an earthquake that occurred many years ago, the inhabitants of a small village were generally very much alarmed, and at the same time, surprised at the calmness and apparent joy of an old lady, whom they all knew. At length, one of them addressed the old lady, “Mother, aren’t you afraid?” “No,” she replied. “I rejoice to know that I have a God who can shake the world.”

Man, if we need to understand a truth today, it Is that our God can shake the world. No matter how many earthquakes, tornadoes, wars, and oil spills may occur, our God is still in control! When the winds blow and the and the storms come, remember the words of the writer of Hebrews 9:13:
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.”
With that information, we can grab onto the anchor that holds in any storm.

"God, You are my rock and my strength.
Amen."
