Tuesday, May 11th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

The German poet Goethe said, “I never experienced affliction that did not turn into a poem.” The music that gives man a taste of heaven has often come from afflicted hearts.

Music comes when something is touched in one way or the other. Some instruments, such as drums, are struck. Some are plucked or stroked such as guitars, banjos, or harps. Some instruments, such as pianos and organs, are touched or pressured in playing.

The touch makes all the difference in the music that comes forth.

The affliction we face makes our melody sweeter for those around us. Remember these words the writer of Colossians 3:16 uses to encourages us:
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

"God, let my trials speak encouragement to others.
Amen."
