Tuesday, January 12th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“I’d rather be able to pray than be a great preacher; Jesus Christ never taught his disciples how to preach, but only how to pray.”

It is interesting that Jesus taught His followers how to pray verbally, modeled prayer for them, and invited them to pray with Him. He knew the value of talking to God the Father and wanted us to have that kind of relationship with His Dad, also. Knowing tough times were ahead, Jesus gave His deciples these words in Matthew 26:41:

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

"God, thank You for letting me talk directly to You.
Amen."
