Monday, January 11th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“An insurance sales manager was known for his tact and diplomacy. One of his young salesmen was performing so poorly that he had to be terminated. The manager called him in and said, “Son, I don’t know how we’re ever going to get along without you, but starting Monday we’re going to try.”

A special ability is required to be able to use tact in the difficult situations we face each day. The writer of Psalm 139:4 tells us,
“For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.”
Since God knows the words on the tip of our tongue, I think it might be a big help to seek His help in controlling what we say.

"God, help me to leave off words that do not build up.
Amen."

When God speaks… Listen.
