Here is a pitiful story from Military.com.

In Illinois they are being moved to supporting veterans through state run gambling rackets. Sorry, this is just sickening to me...

We pay for all kind of aberrant behavior and illegal life styles through taxing our working citizens... but our veterans are being moved to being paid under a lottery...

I've got an idea... why don't we make it where violent prisoners receive care based on what our good citizens provide through a special lottery set up just for their support?

EDIT: Now I of course know that they are not going to be depending on the lottery for veteran support... however, I smell a test fish when I smell a fish.

One more way to tax the least able... to pad some political pockets.

Cash for Illinois Veterans

Illinois Veterans will get 100 percent of the net proceeds from a special state lottery game. The new Stars and Stripes scratch-off tickets will be on sale for about six months as part of the Veterans' Cash program. The state expects to raise more than $1 million from the new lottery tickets.
