Sunday, November 1st. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"There is no stronger test of a man’s character than power and authority."
(Plutarch, c. 46–after 119)

How a person responds to power given to him reveals whether he is dependent on God the One who elevates whom He will (Psalms 75: 6-7) into power, or whether he thinks he achieved his "elevation" on his own. Oswald Chambers reminds us of our need to remember to keep things in perspective with these words:

“A saint is never consciously a saint; a saint is consciously dependent on God."
(Oswald Chambers)

"God, let me be faithful to You, whether leading in worship or shining shoes.
Amen."

God is good… All the time!
